What kind of help can Israel expect from the UN?

However, in 2001, during the al-Aqsa intifada( uprising) some Arab states attempted to put the question back on the agenda of a UN conference on racism set to begin on August 31, 2001 in Durban, South Africa."

"On December 20, 1990, the UN Security Council passed Resolution 681 which stipulated that the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem were "Palestanian territories". Furthermore, it called upon Israel to abide by the Geneva Conventions in ruling the territories."
